Travel

We’re getting married in our hometown on the beautiful island of Penang, at Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa in Batu Ferringhi. Known for its beaches, resorts, and laid-back charm, Batu Ferringhi is on the northern coast of Penang.

For our friends traveling from afar, we know a trip to Malaysia takes thoughtful planning, time, and resources. We are incredibly grateful for the effort you’re making to celebrate with us. Below are some recommendations to help with planning your travel, accommodations, and activities during your stay. For more travel tips, please refer to the FAQ.

Getting to the Venue

Driving: Free parking is available at the hotel for all wedding guests.

Ride-Share: Grab, Malaysia’s most common ride-share app, is a convenient and affordable transportation option. If you plan to drink, we encourage you to arrange a safe ride home.

Getting to Penang

By Air: The closest airport is Penang International Airport.

Transit Hubs: You can also fly into Kuala Lumpur or Singapore and take a short connecting flight to Penang.

Where to Stay

AirBnB's are also available in all of the neighbourhoods mentioned, and they are good alternatives to hotels.
